About The Builder

I began the model railroad hobby in 1970. I have belonged to clubs and round robin railroad operating groups building layouts for myself and assisting others all over the United States.

As an experienced modeler and railfan I have built layouts in all scales including N, HO, S, O and G. Digital Command Control (DCC) installations, updates, sound and non-sound decoder programming is a specialty. i also have installed hundreds of operating crossing and trackside signals.

I enjoy freight and passenger train operation and capturing the essence of those operations in model form. Designing an operations-based model railroads requires knowledge of prototype railroads and how to incorporate those movements into your model railroad.
