Model Railroad Dreams is a Model Railroad layout construction company that provides model railway layout design consultation, designer ideas, upgrade and repair / support services.   We are based near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Our services include installation and programming DCC sound and non-sound decoders and Digital Command Control systems; Lionel and HO model train restoration and repair, weathering of model locomotives, freight cars, structures / buildings. Create scenery including static grass, trees, water scenes. Expert roadbed, flextrack laying, wiring, and troubleshooting. We serve museums, and customers all over the Midwest and United States including Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri. We have taken on projects on both the east coast and west coast including California, New York, Florida, Carolina, Alaska. In Iowa we have customers in Davenport, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Iowa City, Burlington, Des Moines, Council Bluffs / Omaha area.
